KISS 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Kiss were where Metal Finalized It's vision! The Black & Silver Metal look & The Makeup. Kiss All sang Baratone & that was incrediably important, This was all about Power! That & The Fact that Kiss played the Bass as a Lead instument made them even more Powerfull. I made money taking out the Garbage to buy Dressed To Kill when It was released. Dressed To Kill is still Their Greatest Album throughout, Beginning to End No below par songs! We were a Kiss Household ever since, Through breakups, lineups, reunions & conclusions. The Last Two Kiss Albums show that Kiss is Metal not to be reconed with easily. I have All of Kiss's Albums & All of the Kiss Books. The Gene Simmons Doll is still running around here like a Black & Silver Gremlin, There He goes! Kiss is a Monumental Achievement in All American Music. I Love Kiss for the Whole Package, Thanks Gene & Keep Wishing Opon A Star!

What KISS Means to Me

I am 24 years old. I have been a Kiss fan since the age of 10 when my Dad bought the Kiss My Ass video on VHS and we watched it together at home. Kiss' look, their music, and their spirit on stage had me hooked right from the beginning and I have been a huge fan for the last 14 years. No matter who has been in the band, Kiss has always been Kiss and they have always given their best for the fans and the world of rock music. Kiss will live forever.

40 years and still going

I was 11 years old walking through the record section in a department store with my mother, when i saw this album with 4 painted up faces that i thought was awesome, needless to say after a little nagging, my mother caved in and bought it for me. And the rest is KISSTORY.I've had highs and lows through the years, but one constant has always been there with me to fall back on, the spectacle and music of the greatest of all! I recently celebrated the 40th anniversary with the purchase of a new personalized plate, KISS-RME for my new jeep. I look forward to many more years to come, Rock on...

letter of my KISS´experience

My best experience with KISS was on the show that they were played at the Obras Sanitarias Stadium the night of 09/05/1994 in Argentina. That night we had over 8,000 people in a stadium for 5500. The show was sold as "Fan Exclusive" and if you carried your ticket of the failed 1983 KISS show at the Boca Juniors Stadium, the promoters downplayed you a 30% return for that ticket. Nobody gave that ticket. The stadium roared by KISS. We all screamed and sang from maybe 1 hour before they appeared on stage. It was a meeting of all the sickest fans they could have known worldwide and the Masters of Rock. At the end of the second song the whole Stadium overwhelmed KISS´ ears with the world famous "Yo soy Kisserooo es un sentimiento que no puedo parar". Paul knelt in front of the audience and looked like not knowing what was happening. He thanked all the audience over and over again. Gene and Bruce walked to the backstage for someone to translate what people were saying. Eric Singer madness enjoyed the show. It was the only one of my 18 KISS´shows where people hid Paul's voice despite the immense and thunderous sound that night. The entire audience applauded wildly Eric Carr. At the end of the show a lady from the audience jumped and clung to Paul kissing him as her first time. There was no blood, no flights or fireworks. There was a communion among all the fans who had waited to see KISS for a long-long time (since 1978 in my case). That night, the spirit of Rock and Roll was present. And the covenant of love between the band and their fans Argentine was sealed. That love continues until today and will last forever. That show is still in the hearts of all who were there. I was there, I am here and I will be there.

40 years of KISS

You wanted the best and you got the best. What can I say about the band that I have followed since 1977 that every die hard fan hasn't already said? I started listening to KISS when I was 6 (now I am 41) due to my older brother listening to them on vinyl and 8 track when we shared a bedroom. I remember being mesmerized by the back cover and gatefold picture on Alive II and from there I was hooked. (To this day Alive II is still one of my favorites). For an impressionable kid KISS was everything you wanted from superheros to rock gods. I loved the extras they gave you in their albums from the Love Gun to the solo posters to the Evolution of KISS to the Dynasty poster. All those things were treasured items to me and still are today. When it comes to the music how can you not appreciate all that they have done and all the different genres they outlasted (hard rock, disco, hair metal, grunge etc). How many bands can say that? They adapted their style and put out great music on every album. That just shows the genius of the band and most non KISS fans don't get that. (kinda like the R&R Hall of Fame doesn't get it either). With 40 years fo music and well over 200 released original songs KISS truly is an American icon and I am proud to be a card carrying member of the KISS Army. To this day I still get excited when they release something (album, book, magazine, merchandise) or will be on TV or obviously tour. I cannot get enough of the band and I don't think I ever will! A few of my favorite memories are the first time I saw them in concert in Philadelphia when I was 6 at the Spectrum for the Love Gun/Alive II tour, seeing Eric Carr's last show at Madison Square Garden in 1990, the Reunion tour also at MSG and the VH1 Rock Honors in 2006, but honestly all 30 times that I have seen them in concert is a favorite memory of mine. I can go on and on about KISS and everything they mean to me, but I will just say that no other band has ever touched me the way KISS has and I can't say thank you enough for all the great times that their music has given me and I cannot wait until the Monster tour hits the states so I can go lose my mind again! Long live KISS. Here is to 40 years!! Keep on rocking, Jeff Russo Chandler, AZ

30 great years of being a fan

Kiss, I've been a fan since 1982. I was 5 and specifically remember finding my older brothers set of Kiss cards and vinyl copies of Destroyer and Love Gun. My twin brother and I were instantly hooked. I've seen some great shows over two classic lineups... Revenge, Convention tour, and 2 reunion shows. Thanks for the memories!! Here is a pic I recently found showing my brother and I in makeup with our best friend in the Gene Mask!

40 years of KISS

Wow!!!! 40 years of the Hottest Band in the World!!! Where does the time go? KISS has always been there for me through the good times, the bad times, and everything in between. From the foundation laid down by the original lineup to today with Paul, Gene, Tommy, and Eric still kicking ass, So many great moments of KISSTORY for me. I met Paul, Gene, Bruce, and Eric Singer at the Alive III listening party in L.A. in 1993. I did my first official meet and greet on the Tour at Jones Beach in September. I sang Calling Dr. Love with the band during the VIP acoustic show. A moment I will never forget!!!! And of course I have been blessed to have gone on both KISSKRUISES!!!! These cruises are the biggest KISS parties on the planet!!!! 3,000 hardcore KISS fans from all over the world on a ship with KISS!!!! The party never stops!!!! I can't tell you how many awesome friends I made through these cruises. It is heaven for a KISS fan!!! So thank you guys, for the music, the tours, all the great work you do for charity and the US military, and of course all the great times with my fellow brothers and sisters in the KISS ARMY!!!! See you on KISSKRUISE 3!!!!!! ANTMAN
