KISS forever

Like so many others, I was first KISSed while seeing them on the Paul Lynde Halloween special in 1976. The sonic and visual assault- even on our 30" black & white TV- was beyond anything I'd ever seen. And it just exploded from there. The music, the shows, the merch, the insanity that is KISS... Gene, Paul and company have been a huge part of my life for over 36 years and when it's all said and done, one thing will always stand: There never has been, and never WILL be, anything quite like a KISS concert. I will shed a tear the day all of this ends because there is nothing like KISS or the KISS ARMY. ALIVE FOREVER!!

Memories

it wasn't until the fall of 1975, that amid all the John Denver, James Taylor, Easy-listening FM drivel, that I began to hear a little tune called, Rock & Roll All-night. I happened upon a music store called The Record Museum, and stapled along the back wall of the store, above bongs and rolling papers were mini-posters of KISS ALIVE. I picked up a copy of the album and stared in awe at the cover photo. This college-aged dude was standing next to me, and he leaned over and said "that's a great album". When I got it home to my turntable, my bedroom was transformed into Rock & Roll Heaven.

KISS Memory

I have two of them, the first time I saw them was at the old Chicago stadium in 1977 with Uriah Heep. I knew there song Rock and Roll All Nite, but my freinds and I did not know what they looked like. When the lights came on to Detroit Rock City we were hooked! The second one is I took my sister to see them at a Flipside when they took off the makeup,I asked Paul if she could have a picture taken with him,he said sure.16 years later I went to a meet and greet for the Alive 3 dvd, while Paul was signing an autograph for me he said I remember you,you wanted your sister to have a picture taken with me! Out of the thousands of fans he has met to remember me how cool is that! Thanks for all the memories and many more!!!

2nd Generation Fan

My wife and I saw Kiss in Brisbane, Australia in late 1994 when she was pregnant with our youngest son Harry - during the concert we kept putting our hands on her stomach and could feel the music vibrating around the baby! As he grew up he would love to listen to my Kiss CDs and watch my DVDs - Symphony was his favourite. After the Melbourne Symphony Concert I promised him I would take him the next time Kiss came to Australia. It was a very proud Dad who got to share his love of Kiss with his son, again in Brisbane, Australia, at the 2003 concert. That was one of the high points of my children's growing up - sharing that experience with him! Can't wait to see you in March with Motley Crue. Cheers Rod...

Hi KISS!

Hi KISS! My name is Ashley and I'm from Oregon. My best friend and I are big KISS fans and we were planning to raise money for KISS tickets starting around April or May depending on when it gets warmer here. I hope you guys come to Oregon sometime soon, it would mean the world to me. Your guys' music has gotten me through some tough times and I deeply appreciate it. I hope you guys get this letter, if not that's ok. I love you guys, thank you so much! Love, Ashley P.S please come to Oregon!

meeting the band on the Intrepid

As a fan since '76, I'd have to say my best memories were of the Reunion Tour. I was lucky enough to meet my brothers in arms in full regalia, and I was in heaven! It was at the press conference on the USS Intrepid in NYC, announcing the tour. Gene was funny. I said to him, "You...are...the...greatest...!" and he said, "Thank you. Now I know you're a rock star too, but I have to go and be interviewed by VH1"! The best part of the story though was when the conference was over, security had cleared all the fans out, but my friend and I hid behind the huge KISS logo that adorned the stage. We waited for all to leave, and "mingled" in with the press...it was something I'll never forget. KISS, thank you for getting me through the rough times and making me happy. There is no other band on Earth like you, and I love you guys more than you may know. You are the soundtrack to my life. Happy 40!! Sincerely, Joe Pensanti
