Many KISS memories because I have been a fan since the early 70s. Mother threw away one of my KISS album, with that knights in satan service non sense. Would go to bed listening to the KISS Alive album at my cousins house. Most recent favorite KISS memory is getting my Gene Simmons Costumes. People love it wherever I where it. Congrats on 40 awesome years. Don A

Meeting Gene

I have been a KISS fann for over 38 years. I always dreamed of meeting Gene, he was and still is my hero. Back a good many years ago Gene did a book signing in Pittsburg,PA. I was the first one there ( 4:00 am ) and slept on the side walk outside of the store. I ask WDVE jocky where gene was " well he is running alittle late" I decided to go into the store to use the restroom, and the door opened and a fellow walked into the restroom and pee'd next to me, i lookup and sure as shit, it was Gene... needless to say i almost pee'd on my shoe ! Went on to have my book signed, and a great picture taken with him.... unforgetable !!

Best band! Best fans!

Hi! That Kiss is the hottest band in the world is of no doubt to us worldwide fans. Kiss have though also the most loyal and devoted fans. For example, my wife and I travelled from Sweden to USA in oct/nov 2012 to experience the Kiss-Kruise II. Due to heavy winds in London we missed our connectionflight from London to Washington DC and had to stay at London for 8 hours. When In DC (checking out museums) the storm Sandy gets nearer and although we succeed to reschedule our flight they close the airport a few hours before we are supposed to go. No buses or trains available, everything caught up in the storm. So, we just have to hire a car and drive to Miami, took 17 hours non-stop. After the Kiss-kruise our plane from Miami is delayed for hours due to damages from the storm which means we misses our connectionflight from Madrid to Stockholm and have to stay in Madrid for another night. Finally back in Stockholm after many, many hours on planes, cars, etc our luggage is lost! Anyway, it came back after a few days... In sum, apart from the Kruiseship, no transportation worked according to schedule. Would we do it all again to experience the Kiss-kruise? YES, the kruise was FANTASTIC and we would do it all over again if we had the chance. The fans are as loyal to the band as the band are as loyal to the fans! Let´s hope for another 40 years! /Patrik and Helena

Thanks!!

It was 1979 and I was 9 years old when I heard KISS for the first time. I still can't describe the feeling... It was a kind of falling in love with the love of your life. Trough the years the love remaines and went stronger and stronger! The most special memory I have was in 1996. With the Dutch Kiss army we flew to New York and we saw KISS in the MSG! 3 Times! When I heard the first bass and drums notes of God of Thunder, I almost started to cry! KISS isn't just a rockband, it's a way of life. A good life! Thank KISS for making my life complete!! See you in Europe!

What KISS has meant to me

I first saw KISS in 1974. I was 14. They have been with me through high school, ten years in the Navy. I listened to them while on patrol as a submariner. In 1974 I listened to soul & disco. I saw KISS and never looked back. I started playing in bands as a lead singer and still do it today. Any time in the last 40 years, KISS was there. And with all of the media advances KISS will continue to always be there. Thank you all. Mike

KISS and me

My Tribute to KISS by Milton Koons Dear KISS, I wish you to know what you have meant to me. I was 12 years old in the summer of 1975 when I first listened to Rock and roll all night. Skyler, my younger brother, had just purchased the 45 and he wanted me to hear the band he discovered. Immediately we were hooked by your music, style, and look. At that time we were being bombarded by our parents' musical interests, which included Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Needless to say KISS rescued us! From those formidable years you were with me and vigilantly remained close where ever life took me. From elementary school to college, Army boot camp to Drafting school in Fort Belvoir, VA.. Then onto adult life with all the employers I labored for and finally marriage and children. You even played a role in my eldest daughter Heidi's birth, when I chose Beth as her middle name. Many have heroes and suffice it to say you became thus. Throughout my sojourn you added magic to all I witnessed, heard, and experienced. Indeed because of KISS my personal highs became intensified and the lows much more tolerable! When I needed an escape you became my refuge and fortress in the wilderness. You always understood me and tirelessly offered encouragement and motivation. Your song Flaming youth fit my teen years perfectly. In fact so many of your songs reflected my thoughts and experiences that I felt as if you were talking to me personally. Hence from such things I gained a close relationship with KISS. My first KISS concert became reality in Nov. 1977 at the age of 15. All the rumors were proven true....KISS is the best! That show cemented my love of my rock band. In 2000 I lived a dream of taking my family to see KISS in concert. Witnessing my kids enjoying the show like I had years earlier was sweet indeed. It became a family memory for the ages! Another great experience occurred in 2003 when my son and I attended a meet and greet back stage during another powerful KISS concert. Shaking hands and chatting with my gracious uncles nearly had my eyes misty. My son ate the experience up rather easily as he barked at me to man up and stop embarrassing him. And yet another dream was recently realized as Tami and I sailed the Caribbean on KISS Kruise I in Oct 2011 (and will again in Nov 2012)! Today as a grandfather the legacy continues as I clothe my grandkids in KISS onesies and teach them to bust a move to the KISS classics. In closing, I have been asked many times if I am KISS' biggest fan? Such a query is debatable. However, be assured all who even remotely know me understand one would be hard pressed to find a more loyal and dedicated KISS Army- Navy member! Thanks Gene Simmons / KISS! Sincerely, Milton Koons 3/19/12
