40 Yrs of KISS

Currently a US Army Soldier serving my 26th year, I can remember seeing the cover of KISS Alive II. The front of the album made you wanna see the back. Something about those pics on the back, pure iconic shots, all. But seeing Gene Simmons and that blood shot, as nasty as it looks, it is awesome! Looks nasty, mean, hateful . . . . . what a captured moment! Now, open that double live album and look at that explosive picture. Enough said. I new I was gonna be a fan before I even heard the music lol The music sealed the deal! From one military veteran to a bunch of rock veterans, thanks for what you have done and continue to do. Oh, and MONSTER is just kick ass . . . . . . . . seriously!! Sincerely, An old Army First Sergeant (1st Air CAV)

THANK YOU!

I just want to thank KISS and Keith from KOL for hooking me up with some great swag. I am currently deployed in Afghanistan and about 6 weeks ago I tried to buy the new Monster E-book via iTunes. Lets just say the technology over here is not to be desired and we have it really good stateside! Long Story short I was unable to view this online here in the Stan. Keith and KISS were kind enough to hook me up with the hard copy book, and they also gave me this awesome shirt and new KISS Monster Magazine! You guys really take care of the fans! It may not seem like a lot, but over here, trust me, it's the little things that mean the most! I can't wait to come home and crank the new album up on my stereo! Thanks Again, ROCK ON! kyle US (Kiss) Army

Struggle for life in the name of R n R

Dear Partners in Life, I'm Greg, 42, Speach Therapist, from Paris, France. Till 1979, you have allways been by my side to struggle against bad events and deases, to believe in myself and a better futur by giving me the energy to continue. When I was almost dead in a hospital, when I lost my left arm after a bad accident with my motorbike, you were with me to tell me why I had to get up and restart my life from the beginning. You can't replace my family or a girl friend, but you are here, as an indestrucible monument, alive, like a lighthouse in a hurricane. THANK YOU ! PS : See you in Milano in june, I will fly from Paris specially for the event !!!

Refuge

Im 48 years old. So to say Kiss has been a major part of my life is an understatement of ridiculous proportions. My first album was Alive! To say it was a life-changing moment might sound odd to outsiders, but within the "Army" Im sure everyone had a similar moment. Through all my life's ups and downs, listening to the band was my place of refuge. As a teenager, I could go to my room and listen to Alive II for example, and forget the angst and frustration we often feel at that age. When things were going well, it was adrenaline-pumping party music. Even today, if I need a "time out", I go to my man-cave and listen to Monster, or any of the other albums. Like any loyal fan I have them all! I've taken my now-grown kids, and will be taking mu grandkids on the Monster tour the next time the band rolls through Texas. I want them to have a similar experience. They are dazzled, But I was hit in the chest with a sledge-hammer in '75, and everything changed forever. However the guys keep doing it, I cant believe they made 40+ years. When I see them, it's as though time has stood still. I never want it to end, but one day the touring will. But what I feel, and how thankful I am to the band will only die when I do. Thank you guys, for making a life-long difference for me.

KISS fan since 1975

The first time I saw KISS was in 1975. I WAS 3 YEARS OLD! They were on the Midnight Special. My sister was babysitting me, and they were on tv. That's my first memory of KISS. One of the bands that my brother liked was KISS, and he had some of their albums. Back then it was VINYL and 8 TRACK TAPES. Love Gun, Rock and Roll Over and Dynasty we had on 8 track. Destroyer and ALIVE II we had on vinyl. In the late seventies and eighties, my love of KISS grew. In 1977, my brother and a cousin went to Madison Square Garden to see them. I wished I could go, but I was only 5 at the time. My brother said they did a great live show. The originals broke up by 1981, and I thought I would never get to see Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter in concert. Then KISS Unplugged happened. Then the 1996 KISS Reunion Tour happened. I was one of the first people on line for tickets to the June 28, 1996 MSG show. I bought them at a local record store in Nanuet, NY (By the way not far from where Rock and Roll Over was recorded. The concert theater where the album was recorded is still there but is now used as a local church.) Those of us on line could not believe the first show sold out so fast. I got two tickets to the second show, one for myself and one for my brother. I got good seats close to the stage, because I remembered my brother told me he had nosebleed seats in '77. Later the same day that I bought my tickets, a friend told me he had an extra ticket to the first MSG show. So the first and second time I ever saw KISS in concert was the original lineup in 1996. It was awesome! KISS was and is still the best. Thank you Gene, Paul, Ace, Peter, Eric and Tommy and the other members of KISS for 40 years of the hottest band in the world!

Happy 40th Birthday

I first got turned onto KISS in early 1975, when I was 9 years old, with Dressed to kill. Since that day and to this day, KISS has been a heavy influence on and in my life. Many times in my life I felt like I had no purpose, why am I here or Reason to live. The philosophy that KISS has cemented in the ground, since day one, to get them where they are today, believe in yourself, dont let others tell you, you arent good enough or you will never make it, always carried me through those times. The first time I saw KISS live was at Madison Square Garden (New York City) 1979 for The Return of KISS the Dynasty tour. I was blown away then and I still am blown away by the attitude, ferocity, dedication, devotion and most of all, belief that KISS carries. Ive been a fan through out all the hardships, lineup changes, different styles of music on certain albums, and most of all, Ive been a fan because KISS has always been people and an entity that I look up to and idolize. When a lot of fans left KISS, for various reasons, I was loyal, dedicated and devoted through out the 80s 90s and to this day. Since early 1975 and to this date, January 23rd, 2013 I have never jumped off the KISS bandwagon. In a world where people get paid ridiculous amounts of money, some doing half of what KISS has achieved, most of them are not the role models they appear to be. Having met most of the members (barring Mark St. John) no matter how nervous I was, they always made me feel like they were down to earth and people who cared for their fans. All things mentioned inspired me to form the KISS Allegiance. I am also proud and honored to say that my 18 year old son, Eric, is every bit a die hard KISS fan like me. Thank you for being there for me, and thank you for still being a positive influence and force which continues to Shout it out loud that I believe in me which my son follows. Happy 40th Birthday KISS, heres too many more years. You will never grow old, or fade out, because you flow through my veins and beat Within my heart.
