KIss Pinball Machine

Being a Kiss fan and an avid collector it was only natural for me to search flea markets and garage sales for anything Kiss, considering my personal favorites are the original seventies collectables. After obtaining many collectibles I realized that the Holy Grail of Kiss memorabilia would be the Bally Kiss pinball machine. As fate would have it around April, 2010 I received a call from a friend stating he knew someone that wanted to sell a Kiss pinball machine. I could not believe what I was hearing, but quickly realized I would never be able to afford such a rare collectable, but maybe just maybe they were selling it cheap. I went back and forth with the seller until she finally said make me an offer. Well, with my eyes closed I blurted out a ridicules offer of three hundred dollars, expecting a fast decline but, much to my amazement she accepted it. I can still remember seeing the pinball machine for the first time. I walked through a back yard in Suburban New Jersey. The seller opened a wooden door to an old shed and there it sat in all its glory. It was shoved in a corner with all types of junk stuffed on and around it, just waiting for me to rescue it. My eyes went instantly to the back glass that was still intact. I noticed slight wear on the playfield and some fading of the body paint. I couldnt believe what great condition it was in considering the seller settled for such a low price. At first I wasnt expecting very much, after learning it hadnt worked for years but at that instant I knew it was a dream come true. I quickly learned how to repair the late seventies Bally Kiss pinball machine and the rest has been KISStory.

KISS is Everywhere

While watching the Mighty Boosh I noticed Vince Noir's (played by Noel Fleiding) work uniform has a KISS patch on the shoulder of the jacket. I almost lost my marbles. Two of my favorite things had come together! I knew I had to post this here being that I am an obsessed KISS and Mighty Boosh fan.

Your Youngest Fan!

Hey Gene, I'm emailing you from Regina, SK Canada, I just thought I'd let you know about my son Connor who's almost 3, just freaks out every time I wear my KISS shirt that I bought on the Farewell 2000 tour when you guys played in Saskatoon, I was actually on the high-steel rigging crew for the show, did the set-up, strike and got to even watch the show, The first time I'd seen you guys was in 1977 in Regina, you were the very first rock band to play in the Agridome. But getting back to my son, who is in the five percentile for speech delay, always points at you on the shirt and says "Gene". So just like his daddy, who also used to play bass in bands, Connor is a big KISS fan. Cheers
