/Straight from Dynamite, heres a writers commentary by Chris Sebela talking about KISS/Vampirella #2. Cover by Juan Doe, with interiors by Annapaola Martello.

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends. Or at least it feels like that when youre reading my really yappy commentary track on KISS/VAMPIRELLA #2, which you now hold in your hot little hands.
Before we get rolling, I wanna stop for a second at the start and talk about how good of a team Annapaola and Valentina are on this book. A mismatch between line art and colors can mess up even the greatest book, but Valentina takes Annapaolas amazing inks and really builds on them. Anyhow, I know people were a little iffy that not a ton of BIG STUFF happened last issue, so well see if this one fixes that. Lets get into it.

Oh, and story-wise, were back in the house on Cielo Drive, which no longer exists. It got torn down after Trent Reznor owned it in the late 90s. A perfect place for a nice satanic ritual with our buddy in the suit who Lily and Vampi followed up here last issue.
Pat Dale, of Cedar Rapids, is reunited on Saturday, July 29, with his 1977 Kiss Alive II album that his wife Susie accidentally sold at her garage sale on Friday. The man who bought the record wished to remain anonymous and only asked for his $2 back. The album was autographed and given to Pat Dale by Gene Simmons of Kiss some years ago during a trade show in Las Vegas.

CEDAR RAPIDS The record is back.
Susie Dale, of Cedar Rapids, said the man who purchased her husband Pats 1977 Kiss Alive II album, autographed by Gene Simmons, showed up before 8 a.m. today to her garage sale and returned the album in exchange for the $2 he paid for it on Friday.
He brought it back, so that was very nice, said Dale. And, he would not take the $50.
Dale had offered to buy the record back for that amount and also joked shed throw in her old treadmill, which also is for sale.
He would not take the treadmill, Dale said, noting shes slashing prices at her sale today.
Valuable stuff is $2, everything else is free, she joked. The treadmill is I give you $2.
Dale said the man who returned the album wished to remain anonymous and she has no idea where it is now.
Pat took it and went in the house, she said.
During a recent visit to her home town of Cadillac, Amy (Neff) Rau walked the KISSTORY Tour route. She's pictured here next to stop number two at Cadillac High School. The plaque features Amy in a classic 1975 KISS Cadillac photo. Paul Stanley is resting his head on her shoulder.

Area KISS fans will get an early Christmas present as a Rock & Brews restaurant, a chain started by rock legends Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, should open in November at Vacaville Commons.
It will be the first Rock & Brews in Northern California and the 22nd restaurant in the chain which includes the United States and Mexico, said a press release announcing the venture.
The 7,970-square-foot Rock & Brews will employ about 125 people.
The menu will focus on American comfort food, including signature dishes featuring local cuisine, the release said.
Dining is available indoor and al fresco on the three large, dog friendly patios that span 1,645 square feet.
A private dining area will include an open-air patio.
A variety of games for guests of all ages will be offered.
The communal bar, designed with three sides, will dedicate more than half of the beer taps to local craft brews.
The rock-inspired atmosphere features concert lighting, oversized canvas rock artwork, a great wall of rock and concert-style music videos on flat screen televisions.
Amazing and pretty cool were the choice adjectives from Kiss fan and Vacaville musician Matty Taynton of Tweed Hut Music.
How could we not want that? he asked rhetorically. We are fortunate to have something like this happen.
He recalled hearing Simmons speak at a National Association of Music Merchants breakfast. He had some interesting insights, Taynton said.
Vacaville Mayor Len Augustine said hell check out the restaurant when it opens. Its a place for the younger crowd to hang out, he said.
Its also another feather in the cap for the town as more restaurants are moving in and taking over empty spaces, he said.
Multi-unit franchise partner Jon Mesko, will open the eatery at 200 Nut Tree Parkway. This marks the sixth Rock & Brews for Mesko, who also owns and operates Rock & Brews restaurants in Southern California.
I am excited to continue my journey on the Rock & Brews world tour and with demand growing across the United States and beyond, I am happy to bring Rock & Brews to Northern California, said Mesko, in the press release.
Our locally-sourced food, excellent service, and energized atmosphere make Rock & Brews a great place to enjoy a meal with family, friends or co-workers in a thrilling environment.
The first Rock & Brews opened near the Los Angeles International airport in April, 2012. Simmons and Stanley started Rock & Brews with Dave and Dell Furano and Michael Zislis.
Grand opening activities hosted by Stanley and Simmons will take place prior to the end of the year benefiting local veterans and active military. For information about Rock & Brews, visit www.rockandbrews.com.
