Monster is Just Terrific!

Gentlemen, Thanks for making Monster, it is a lot of fun! In addition to the strong riffs, classic rock references, fresh harmonies and crafted songs, I hear a new-found sense of humor and joy in your music. Furthermore, I am inspired by your success and longevity. Having just lost my job, with a family to support, I look to my heroes for inspiration. KISS are the kings of the comeback, and Monster inspires me to push ahead with a positive attitude and joy. KISS has been the soundtrack to my life, and Monster will be the soundtrack to my personal comeback. Thanks for putting a little wind in my sails. And thanks for making a fun, kick-ass record. Yours in the fight, MOOBER

MONSTER IS UNBELIEVEABLE!

Ahhhhh! This album just rules! I can say with certainty that I'm the only person who's listened to it non-stop for about 62 hours in one sitting and then resumed more nonstop playing last night. (Yes, I fall asleep with it on so I do get my sleep!) It's almost impossible for me to turn it off. I'm guessing maybe 200+ repeats---and still going. I love anything KISS does---some better than others---and this album takes "me" back to the stone age (to coin the term of one song on it) when there were KISS records---vinyl---and it was always a blast getting a ride to the record stores to buy them when they were being unboxed, playing them over and over, dreading going to school because that meant the whole day with only sound bytes in your head. This take me back to the teenage angst of only wanting to listen to the latest KISS record and singing away to the big choruses and melodies. This is the KISS we've all missed. Sonic Bo om was a great kick off to KISS returning back to making studio albums and it's clearly audible that they carried that energy into the studio when they recorded this. If ever Paul and Gene bragged about how great a KISS album was gonna be, this time they nailed it! It's not only an excellent KISS album, it's a great rock & roll album. If the pickier KISS fans don't enjoy this then it's them who need to quit being a KISS fan. I love MONSTER from start to finish. I've never listened to an album like I have with MONSTER. Sleeping on the couch with it going all night....playing until I have to leave the house. MONSTER is unlike any other KISS album. To me, it could just as easily have been the album titled Animalize because it fits the primal, savage vibe that Animalize was. Animalize is undoubtedly a very special album and era for me so that's intended as a compliment. MONSTER is a fitting title. In fact, perfect title. It's a FUN album! I can't wait to have my "KISS Easter", which is going around to the various stores and buying the limited edition CDs as though they were Easter eggs! It's true to KISS and Tommy and Eric shine brilliantly. You can actually hear them as their own person and talent. I don't want a Paul, Gene, Peter and Ace album---even as much as I love the original lineup. (Paul and Gene's modern day KISS is too hyper and energetic for the original lineup anyway.) I love this lineup---always have and always will. It's given KISS the real chance to be KISS as the dream originally was almost 40 years ago in 1973. KISS: I've been a fan for 35 of my 40 years (since I was 5!) and I've never quit loving you. Thank you for all that you bring to us fans and the world. Best Blessings, Randy McBrayer

Tour in Australia (Adelaide)

Hey KISS. My name is Macey. I am 21 years old and been a very very very big fan of the band since I was a little girl. My 6 month old daughter has baby jumpsuits with KISS on it too and she loves it. I was wondering, I heard a rumor that you's are coming to Australia to do a tour, was wondering if it's true than are you guys coming to Adelaide as well. Because if you are doing the tour in Australia would like to see you live in Adelaide as it would be the one and only opportunity I will get to see you's LIVE for the very first time. I love you all, you and the band itself have been the greatest inspiration to me from the day I started high school, through the bad times when I was getting bullied to my proud moment while I gave birth to a daughter I have been blessed with. Thanks for taking the time on reading this letter. Bye :)

Monster

Guys, Congratulations! Congratulations on the new album. Where Sonic Boom was the new KISS trying to sound like the old KISS, Monster is the new KISS being the new KISS. And it's difficult to stop listening to it. After about 6 or 7 times in 24 hours Wall Of Sound, Freak, Shout Mercy, Long Way Down and The Devil Is Me stand out. Most songs start in a surprising way (the a capella intro!) and most end in a surprising way. I also have the feeling that it's the first time ever on a KISS record that songs end like you would end them live. Which is cool. Congratulations on (most of) the artwork. Not a fan of the Monster typo (too much Harry Potter) and the band member pictures (someone needs to study depth of field a bit more), but the rest of the artwork is very dark and very arty. Which is cool. Congratulations, Paul Stanley. Not just for the production, but especially for the songwriting. I really thought you'd lost it, Starchild. Too much formula writing, too forced and who can forgive you for a pun like Danger us? This time around it's a whole different ball game. Groovier, funkier, looser, more layered. Which is cool. Congratulations on the marketing. Seriously. Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, Europe 5 days before the US, it's all very clever and I'm sure it will pay off. The biggest question with an album like this is: what songs will you play live? They're not all meat and potatoes, so I guess it's difficult to reproduce on stage. But whatever you choose, I'll be there, and hopefully on the first row. All the best, Bart
