Syndey's 10th Birthday

Our younget daughter, Sydney, is a HUGE fan of KISS and especially Gene! She says he reminds her of her Dad because they act the same! Ironically enough, she and Gene share the same birthday...8/25! She also told us if we ever won the lottery she wanted Gene to come to her birthday party! Well, we didn't win the lottery but we were able to arrange a special visit. She had no clue and the look on her face when he arrived was priceless! Even more amazing to her was that "our Gene" shared pictures of himself and the REAL GENE (without makeup) taken at a convention in 03. To know that he knew the real Gene was amazing to her! She says she will never forget her 10th (and Gene's 60th) birthday as long as she lives!!

COBO Saturday Night

As a 45 year old man I can still remember as a young kid, having your concert poster on my wall and begging my parents to take me to a KISS show. They never did, I guess you guys scared them too much. It took many years before I finally got the live concert experience to see you with Aerosmith at the Palace of Auburn Hills. WOW, a dream come true, I even took my wife to the show and she too was blown away at the experience. I thought it was going to be a once in a life time event, I never thought in my wildest dreams I would get the chance to see you at the legendary COBO. I was very lucky to win tickets from WRIF to attend the Saturday show at COBO, and get into the special Jimmy Kimmel spot and video shoot for Mondern Day Delilah. DOUBLE WOW... At the special show I was given two additional tickets to see the show on Saturday. Remember my parents were too scared to let me go! I could have invtied a buddy or two, or another couple but, remembering how historical the night would be I had to invite my kids Alexandria 15 and Zach 12 to come along and witness history in the making. To say the least the show was awesome..KISS lives forever in our hearts and I hope when my kids have kids of there own, they will not be too scared to share the experience of the Hottest Rock and Roll band in the universe... KISS.

is it safe to take my 9 yo kid to a KISS show?

I'm 39 and KISS fan since 8, back in Peru when I was a kid I always dreamed to be in a KISS show, now this dream will come true in L.A. my 9yo kid is a fan too and wants to come with me, I heard to Gene said that Kiss shows are for the whole family, is that true? I really want to share my dream with my kid ...and party every day...

A family affair at Cobo

What an experience! My first Kiss concert and I missed a lot of what was going on onstage. Dont feel bad for me. I got to see something wonderful, because when I wasnt looking at the stage I was watching my two girls, Jade(age 10) and Caitlynn (age 7). This was their first Kiss concert. When we got to Cobo Hall they reminded me we forgot to pick up makeup on the way down state. Thank goodness for the face painting table, who knew the pride I would feel as my young ladies turned into little KISSettes. Now this is where I admit that the main reason they wanted to come was the face painting but that soon changed. Jade barely sat down through the whole thing and I saw her inner Demon come out (tongue and all). Caitlynn spent most of the time with her hands over her ears (even with earplugs) but she sang along with the parts she knew and I will never forget the jaw dropping awe on her Catman painted face when the platforms rose (her jaw literally dropped). They both wanted to come back on Sat. to bad we had other commitments. The event staff was great from the usher who brought over earplugs because she saw Caitlynns hands over her ears(she already had a pair in) to the man who looked through all the Demon shirts to try and find Jade a small (she came home swimming in a medium because no other shirt would do). And what can you say about the fansKiss fans are the best! Watching all the great costumes or sharing a Kiss memory with a stranger makes the lines feel like they are moving quickly. I want to give a special thanks to the generous couple sitting in front of us. On the ride back up north Jade was finishing up some homework, writing a true story about herself, the title. My Favorite Band. Need I say more.
