KISS Rocked Cleveland

Hey Guys, you absolutely rocked and brought the house down Sunday night in Cleveland. I have been lucky enough to see you guys at Indiana in August and Chicago in early September both of which just blew me away. But Sunday in Cleveland was the best. Thank you so much for an entertaining, action packed spectacle that is a KISS concert. The last 5 weeks journey to see you guys at various venues has been one of the best times of my life. The memories of you and the interaction with all the many KISS Army out in America has been worth every penny. Thanks KISS, you are truely the best band as well as the hottest band in the world.

ANIMALIZE = Girls!!!

The ANIMALIZE album was the beginning of a good thing. It opened the door to introduce other KISS music to the one audience us teenage boys wanted to like KISS more than anything...GIRLS! Lots of girls. Sure, girls seemed to like "Beth" and "I Was Made For Lovin' You". Often times they would say they liked those songs, but did not like KISS, in general. "Heaven's On Fire" changed all of that. It was heavier. Not too heavy. And, through it we were able to comfortably introduce girls to other great KISS songs. Songs like "Love Her All I Can", "I Stole Your Love" and "Anything For My Baby" amongst others. And...they would like those songs! Yes indeed, times were changing. For the better as far as I was concerned. THE TOUR: I camped out three nights in the snow to get front row seats for the Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. The small time promoter who booked KISS also owned a dance club with an under 21 night every Sunday night. Unknown to KISS marketers (probably) "I Was Made For Lovin' You" was routine at the club on Sunday nights. It filled the dance floor all the way up until the mid 80's on a regular basis. I was the one who encouraged the D.J. to dust it off and play it in late 1982. The club would also play other KISS tunes from newly released albums (I made sure of that). This club was huge. It held hundreds of people. The dance floor had a big stage where myself and other KISS fans would imitate KISS and play air guitar (often times in KISS make-up). My friend and myself, both huge KISS fans, were like club kids. We were let in free in return for getting people to show up. If you were a KISS fan you gravitated to the place, eventually. The place was usually packed. This promoter took my friend and I backstage to meet KISS. He introduced us as, "The biggest KISS fans in the World". His words, not ours. I wore Eric Carr's Fox make-up. I usually wore Ace, but felt it inappropriate to wear since Ace was not there. Eric promised he would give me a drumstick during the show. After his solo he walked to the front of the stage, handed me the drumstick and gave me a thumbs up. When Paul smashed his guitar and went to give out the neck someone grabbed it and yanked it from him. He had a hurt look on his face, like he might have gotten cut. I looked at him worried and asked him if he was okay. He walked over to me and dropped the rest of the guitar into my hands. I was excited, but concerned about him. This was the greatest night ever in my entire life. KISS was on the rise again, girls were starting to see things my way and I had a dream-come-true KISS concert experience.

KISS Fan

I know that none of the KISS members will ever see this but I wanted to share my story.... So I am 18 years old and a freshman at Penn State University. Right before I came here I saw KISS at hershey park, pa July 31, 2010. My boyfriend got tickets for us. I really didnt want to go at first. I knew one KISS song (rock and roll all night guitar hero) and all I knew was they were the band that wore makeup and did the dr pepper commercials. I went for by boyfriend he is a die heart KISS junkie and can tell you any random fact about them. Let me tell you after that concert I was hooked. I took so many pictures!!! I also now know all the words to the setlist they played that night and other songs all which are on my ipod. I have just recently watched Kissteria and the VH1 behind the make up series on YouTube. I never would of thought at the age of 18 I would be in love with KISS!!!! It was the best concert of my life and I would deff go see them again and again. I have such an appreciation for them and everything they went through to keep KISS ALIVE and still going for 35 plus years. KISS thank you for being who you are and believing in yourselves. If you ever get a chance come to state college and perform. Legends like yourself need to meet the Legendary JOE PATERNO and WE ARE.....PENN STATE.

"Quite a memorable KISS"

Racine Journal Times - by Lee Roberts; "Joey Talbott is still making his way back down to Earth. The Racine musician, 38, lived his childhood dream on Sept. 2 when he and the rest of local band Wheeliebar opened for rock legends KISS at Milwaukee's Marcus Amphitheater. It was an experience the bass player said made him feel like he was floating on a cloud. "It was so incredible being up there," he said. "And leading up to it, there was so much going on that for two days afterward, I didn't know what to do with myself. It was a great experience." Talbott and his band mates won their spot as KISS' opening act through a national, online competition at eventful.com Fans and friends from near and far voted Wheeliebar into the top five positions, and KISS picked the winner from among those bands. "We are so grateful for and amazed by all the support we had," Talbott said. "Even my second grade teacher, who I hadn't seen in years, knew about the contest and asked how it was going. It is such a good feeling to know that all those people were out there, helping us along." It also felt great to share the stage with his rock 'n' roll heroes, especially KISS frontman Gene Simmons, the Park High School graduate said. Describing the entire day as "surreal," Talbott said he enjoyed every minute, from watching KISS' crew set up equipment, to sharing the famous band's backstage buffet, to his conversation with Simmons. When Talbott lifted his sleeve to show Simmons his KISS tattoo, the tongue-wagging rocker told him, "I knew you were a stand-up guy." While Simmons - who television viewers might know from his reality show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" - can seem intimidating, he and other KISS members are actually "the nicest guys," Talbott said. "Gene even took the time to talk with my wife and kids." Surprisingly, Talbott said he and his bandmates were not nervous about being KISS' opening act. Wheeliebar's 20-minute show featured five original songs and, when it was over, Talbott said he did something he'd never done on stage - thrust his fist into the air in celebration. "It went well and was so much fun; I was just so happy," he said. "It felt right - like we were supposed to be there." What an AMAZING show!

Dear KISS, First I'd like to tell you how AWESOME the show was in Detroit on Saturday.I'd been counting down the days since I saw unconfirmed tour dates online, and it was absolutely worth the wait. I've seen you guys before so I knew what a great show it would be, but I was absolutely blown away! Maybe it's just being in Detroit Rock City, but it just felt like maybe you gave a little extra that night ;) Me and my friend Casey (the one with the HUGE wig) made our costumes for the show, and since those boots took forever (especially the rhinestones), I figured I'd show post them. THANK YOU for the awesome time Saturday..I'll never forget it :)

Rock & Roll Lullabye

A sleeping kid is the last thing you'd expect to see in the front row of a KISS concert, but there's Jacob being serenaded by the Hottest Band in the World. He had met Gene, Paul, Eric and Tommy earlier in Cleveland, then he joined daddy for the first four songs of the show. After that he was out for the count. Well until later in the confetti storm. He woke up telling me "It's snowing daddy!" He sang the chorus to "Rock and Roll All Night" all the way home. Occasionally saying "I need to go back and see KISS daddy." Thanks for a great day/night for this daddy and son.

Clarkston Concert

My dad and I went to you show in Clarkston, MI last Saturday night. It was by far the best concert I have and ever will go to. The effects and stunts were amazing as well as your actual performance. Thank you very much for the experience of a lifetime!
