Letters

I have been a fan since 1992, and KISS has meant very much to me. But this pales in comparison of what KISS means to my son, Christian. Christian is six years old, and has Cerebral Palsy, which requires him to use a wheelchair, and wear leg braces (that he calls his KISS boots, due to their size!). He loves KISS, and they have become such an inspiration to him we knew for this concert, he had to come with us! I had concerns about bringing him regarding accessibility and that leads me to the real reason I am writing this letter - the assistance of everyone at Molson Ampetheatre was overwhelming, not to mention all the fans who had smiles and kind things to say. Christian was overwhelmed by the KISS Army's kindness, and so am I. All this was topped off by being giving guitar picks from the kind people at kissonline. I wish to thank you, and all the KISS fans who played a part in making my sons dream come true tonight. He has never been happier or more motivated to play drums like his favorite drummer, Eric Singer and jump high in the air like Paul Stanley!

Never before has there been blood spat at the Malmo Concert Hall. Never before has an electric guitar been smashed into pieces on the venerable stage floor. Hello, today is my son Sam's first birthday and I wanted to share the birthday card I made for him. It was based on the first Kiss album cover. The card is LP sized and will proudly hand on his bedroom wall. Tommy singed it for me at the meet and greet he did at Long and McQuade in Winnipeg. 3 more signatures to go to make it complete! Amazing show on the 18th, best one yet! - Jim Anderson

Here I am on the left with the newest recruit in the KISS Army! I took my buddy Adam (right) to the show at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, On. Canada on July 25, knowing he was a huge fan of good ole' rock and roll. About halfway through his first KISS show, he looked at me and said, "Every second is so much better than I could have anticipated!" Immediately after the show he posted a pic with the simple caption, "Enlisted." Congrats on landing another fan! What a great show; incredible energy and non-stop entertainment from beginning to end. KISS Army Canada is alive and well....and growing!

This is a great KISS story! Next time I go to a concert, I'm finding a couple of kids to take with me (with parental permission of course). My friend H.m H.m. Murdoch, AKA Ace to the many who know him, brought his 8 and ten year old to their first concert, KISS at CTC last night. First, someone with the band gave them a complimentary upgrade, from the 300's to 5th row stage left. Next, nice techs gave his two kids two of Gene's stage picks, that he throws out to the crowd. It didn't stop there. They then were given a used Eric Singer drum stick, one of the best little concert souvenirs a fan can only hope to catch. THEN, yes, it doesn't stop, GENE HIMSELF gave the two kids two of his own picks! Gene is well known for taking care of kids at his shows, and he certainly did on this night. Finally, Gene did something for Dad, posing for this picture. Just for Ace. Ace's worries of his kids wanting to leave the concert were quickly dismissed and they have on incredible memory of their first ever concert. They were so happy after the show, and rightly so! By the way, I scooped up some confetti from the floor. My souvenir isn't near as cool! Just one of the many reasons why I love this band!

Thank You KISS!! I've been a fan since the 70's, and what a blast to bring my Lil Bear (13 yrs) to the local arena last night to introduce him to his favourite band. He has your albums on his IPod, but in his own words, "to see them live was the best"!!! We're still reeling from the show, and it's gonna be a long time before anyone can come to Northern Ontario and match your skill, showmanship and Music! Paul, we luv ya, Gene, your still the King, and Tommy & Eric you've got a legend to uphold with KISS II. But we're sure it will be legendary and we're gonna rock on with the army for years to come. Let KISS II know that they're MOST Welcome back anytime!! PS: Many Kudo's to Shannon for warming up the audience, but alas Gene, it will be some time before I can explain to my lil man why she's so special.
