My First KISS Concert

My first KISS concert was the most amazing experience of my life. I want to tell you about it.It was in Halifax, Nova Scotia on July 18th 2009. I was dressed up as Gene Simmons. My favorite KISS member is actually Paul Stanley but I had the Gene wig and makeup kit. I made a sign that said "God Gave Rock n' Roll to KISS!" but I had to leave it at home. I wrote the text with marker and It started to run because of all of the rain. The day before the concert I was interviewed on CBC radio for being Nova Scotia's youngest KISS Fan" When I finally got to the concert (After six months of waiting) It was surreal. Even thought I stood out in the rain for 8 hours I still had the strength to sing along to every song, and beg the security guard to let me go backstage! Sadly the security guard was just as persistant as I am and didn't let me backstage to meet my heroes. I just wanted to thank gene, paul Tommy, and Eric for allowing me to experience the hottest band in the world live. All the best, Cassius =)

starting a band

My name is Cayd Wilson. I am 8 years old. I was recently at your show in Pittsburgh. It was the first time I saw you live, and it was unbelievable! You put on a hell of a show. The reason why I want to start a band is because of Kiss, and I want to play the guitar like Paul Stanley. Thanks for the inspiration. Gene Simmons ROCKS - big man... I hope you come back to Pittsburgh because I would love to see you again and meet you. My dad told me he would buy me tickets for backstage the next time you are in town. Keep rockin'. Sincerely your "newest" #1 fan, Cayd

Gene and Paul: Classical composers

Hi, the City FM radio picture on the site today (20th December) has prompted me to send in this photograph of 2 busts that I painted over 20 years ago. Simmons and Stanley will live forever, just like Beethoven and Chopin. Looking forward to seeing KISS back in the UK next year. Keep rockin', David.

Eric Singer is #1

Let there be NO DOUBT about what I am going to say: ERIC SINGER is the GREATEST drummer who has ever sat behind a drum set! Yes, I agree that's a very bold statement, but the truth is the truth!!!!! If you have seen KISS in concert, you already know what I mean. When you see KISS in concert, ERIC puts on an unbelievable show all by himself. Not only is ERIC an amazing drummer, but he takes everything to a new level. Case in point: Detroit Rock City. I've seen KISS 14 times this year, and each time I see KISS, he constantly changes the way he hits the drums on that song. ERIC knows exactly what I'm talking about. It always sounds the same, but he experiments with different ways to accomplish it. ERIC will hit a cymbal and grab it to stop the sound...What other drummer even thinks of that? Eric will hit a cymbal on the upswing....What a great addition to his arsenal. He is always standing and finding unique ways to hit his cymbals and drums. If you haven't seen ERIC SINGER live, you don't know what you are missing. GENE, PAUL, TOMMY, AND ERIC. . .This is the greatest group of entertainers that ever lived.....BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anthony Magnotti Staten Island, NY

Tommy Thayer

TOMMY THAYER is AWESOME! I always knew that TOMMY THAYER would add so much to KISS if there ever was a new album. . .SONIC BOOM proves that TOMMY is truly meant to be in KISS. Tommy's guitar work on SONIC BOOM is electrifying!!!!!! Every solo on SONIC BOOM fits perfectly. I am impressed and amazed every time I listen to it. In concert, TOMMY shows all other guitar players exactly how it is done...No one can match him.....NO ONE!. . .To top it all off, TOMMY is a nice guy, and he cares about KISS and the fans. I just wanted to say that WE LOVE TOMMY!!!! TOMMY is an integral part of KISS, and we couldn't imagine KISS without him!!!!! KEEP ON ROCKING!!!!!! Anthony Magnotti Staten Island, NY
