Dear KISS stuff! I have to thank you because, giving an exam, part of a course to take the official license to teach piano in the public Italian schools, with this transcription i scored 30 out of 30 with special mention! (hope i'll be able to include the file!!) So thanks again, for the inspiration and for being a great soundtrack to my whole life. Stay heavy! RICCARDO

The Group Photo "Surprise!" (Part 2)

Gene almost touching his nose with his tongue. This is a close up of the picture in Part 1. I'm a novice photographer who used a basic $80.00 camera. I went to a few shows and learned a few tips and tricks to share with other KISS fans. You can look through the Letters area for other advice I've submitted. Going to a KISS concert is special. Most of us are lucky to be able to go to one. There are many common mistakes made as novices to photography. I made a bunch of them the first two shows. I learned from my mistakes. I hope I can help give you the edge.

The Group Photo "Surprise!" (Part 1)

I wanted to try to get a picture of the classic KISS line up. With the added challenge of including Eric Singer in the picture facing forward with head up to see him. With this goal in mind I was focused on Eric when I took this picture. Snapping pictures, having him in view, I thought I might get lucky and come out of it with a winner. It just depended on Gene, Tommy and Paul. Would they be doing something interesting? Would they be a blur? Would they be looking away? There are so many factors to getting a really good live action group photo. When I got home and looked through my pictures I knew this was a good one, although the lighting is off a little. Tommy was looking into my camera and smiling and Eric Singer was in the picture the way I wanted him to be. I moved it to the "good" file to go over another day. I had taken 100's of KISS pics up to this point. (I'm still going through them). Well, surprise! As I was cropping this (this is the cropped version) I noticed Gene is almost touching his nose with his tongue! Now, how many times have you heard someone ask, "I wonder if Gene can touch his tongue to his nose"? Make sure you go over your pictures carefully. You never know when you might find a surprise. Photo is from the Boston show on August 7, 2010.

New Alive album

Hello, My name is Ryan, I'm a dedicated KISS fan, And Over the past year I have bought every KISS album available in Australia, but still I find something missing, as everyone is aware next year would be the 20th anniversary of legendary KISS drummer Eric Carrs passing, and everyone is aware that the true spirt of KISS is captured live, the point of Me writing to you is in hope of releasing an live album featuring the great Eric Carr, his spirit was amazing and the 1980 Unmasked tour in Sydney drum solo never fades to amaze me, I feel that this will be a great way to honor the memory of him, may he rest in peace, Thank you, Ryan.

Milwaukee Show

We saw the Alive 35 concert at Summerfest in Milwaukee last year and my kids were barely 5 and 8, they LOVED every minute of it and it is all they talk about when it comes to music. My 1st concert in 75 ? was a KISS concert at the Dane CO coliseum in Madison, one of the best memories of my dad. Taking my boys to their 1st concert was really special and it was almost the same set list! This year when the tour was announced we knew we had to go again. So we blew off our kids parent teacher conferences and had the time of our life. This concert was even better ( although Griffin at 6 wanted to hear "God of Thunder"). They were pretty wiped out today , but I think 20 years from now they will remember Rocking and Rolling all nite more than their 3rd day of kindergarten and 4th grade. I made them promise when they had kids to take them to their 1st KISS concert ...so keep on Rockin you guys are the best!!

virginia beach concert

Hey Guys i was 14 when i bought your kiss alive album in the seventies. My wife and i bought tickets as a surprise for my son and i for the virginia beach concert. we pulled into the parking lot of the ampitheatre before he realized why we were there. Needless to say he was blown away. We sat in the fifth row right in the middle. before the curtain went up i wasn't sure what to expect. But within a minute i knew we were in for a heck of a concert. i was told that you put on a great concert but seeing it in person was unreal. My son and i kept saying "can you believe this". You gave everything and left it all on stage. The 2 1/2 hours flew by. Anyway thanks for giving my son and i a night we will never forget.

TOLEDO

Dear KISS, could you come back to Toledo OH? We would really like to take our 6 year old daughter to see you. She sings along to all your songs and is really hoping to see you live in concert. It would mean a lot to us to be able to take her to one of your shows so that she would always have that memory of getting to go with mommy and daddy when she was 6 years old. I guarantee that it would be a memory that would last a lifetime. Thanks for still kicking ass! Your fans forever, Darrell, Pam, and Alyssa.
