Sweden KISS'es Seattle

Last year I hosted a band from Sweden through the Seattle Swedish club. The director didn't know if they were a punk industrial band or a marching band. I didn't care. I love music. I often host musicians. I love people and I love meeting world travelers and showing them my fantastic city. I didn't even know if they were going to be men or women. Turned out to be 4 guys in their early 30's from Goteburg. I am a single gal, late 40's. They were a clean-cut, acoustic folk band and super groovy guys. We knew we had our Viking heritage in common and we weren't sure what else. Within moments of their arrival, it turned out, we had both recently been to KISS concerts, from our different places across the world. We were different ages, different genders and lived clear across the globe, but we had all been KISS'ed. When we arrived at my house, from their airport pick up, we went straight to the stereo, put on some old vinyl, (on the record player, not our bodies!) and cranked up KISS. Language barriers and age differences made way for the commonality of KISS. From my albums, we headed to youtube and computer photos, and then they showed me KISS shreds. I had never seen a 'shred' before and we laughed with the utmost respectful devotion to our pagan gods of rock! KISS created the connection for strangers through their music. The boys spent four days of their US tour with me and they are forever my buddies and brothers, bonded at the start, by the songs and band that we both love. KISS created that for us, beyond music to the mere humanity of connection and friendship. Thanks KISS, your impact can be more than you imagine. Your affect can be big and brash, loud and bright, or simply subtle and sweet when strangers meet. Sweden KISS'ed Seattle and we all loved our KISS music, concerts and crazy shreds! ThanKs for that Konnection, KISS!

1976 KISS'ES still stir the soul!

The Forgotten City Tour blows KISS'es to the faraway fans. Long ago KISS memories are never forgotten and are blissfully relived once again. How sweet the KISS of youth. At their concert, it lusciously lingers on, long after the lover is gone. For our teenage KISS crush, we are still indulged. Standing with Paul, in Seattle 2009, Still Alive at 35, their tour, not my age. In my keepsake bag is my 1976 t-shirt from my virgin, age, sweet-16 show. Through the years, the KISS still exists and can always be felt again, never losing its excitement, emotion, lust and lustre. What other passion remains from our teen times to today? What still exists through the relationships, trends and styles, experiences, career and all the years of living? Only this KISS can still stir the soul in the same way both satisfying in sight and sound. Their enduring talent and entertainment ignites the memory of all of these years, all of their music, all of our youth, our friends and youthful fun. Their music makes us remember all the fun of being young. With our ticket, we get that, too. They give us a priceless admission to our yesteryear. We are KISS'ed for the first time, once again, and it is as thrilling, as it was way back when. KISS gives us the musical fountain of youth and that is the elusive wonder of living. Thanks! You have stirred my soul, once more.

Spokane Concert for my wedding anniversary

Hello, I truly do appreciate your visit to Spokane. For our belated wedding anniversary celebration, you supplied the additional fireworks, flame, boom and ended it with confetti. The performance was wonderful and thank you for providing the entertainment for our date! It was a real crowd pleaser and a great show opening I must say. Erin (and of course my husband and official ticket buyer, Todd)

KISS Rocks Abbotsford

I just felt the need to write in and express how impressed I was with last night's show. I was offered tix to a suite and at first was hesitant to accept. Dont get me wrong, I grew up rocking to KISS! But I was unsure as to how good it was going to be after, well...a few years lets say! :) Not to mention, going to the show meant a long ass drive in from Van...well, let me just say this: THAT WAS QUITE POSSIBLY THE BEST ROCK SHOW SPECTACLE I HAVE EVER SEEN. EVER. ANYWHERE. YOU GUYS ROCKED THE ROOF OFF THAT JOINT!!!!!!!! Perfect musicianship, unbvelievable crowd work (Paul Stanley is a true pro!) and Gene? well...what can you say about Gene Simmons? The man can rock as good as ever. DONT EVER STOP!!! I WOULD SEE YOU AGAIN ANYDAY OF THE WEEK. Just thought I would be one of the millions to write in...I dont know who, if anyone, this will reach, but you guys kicked ass. H
