Study: 'Detroit Rock City' by KISS is best song about Michigan

So what led to "Detroit Rock City" getting the distinction of "best song about Michigan"? 

24/7 Wall St. reviewed the top-played songs about every state — or songs using a state as a major theme — on Spotify. As of late July, Detroit Rock City had about 41,594,000 plays on Spotify. 

"Detroit Rock City" is commonly played at sporting events around Detroit and has been featured in numerous movies since its 1976 debut.
