My Paul tattoo

I´ve been a Kiss fan since 1980. I was a teenager at the time and listening to music was a way for me to get away from the real world for a while. When things where tough I used to close the door to my room, turn off the lights and just let Kiss music wash over me. Paul was always my favorite and I even had a black jeans jacket with his face drawn on the back, in gold paint. Every time my mom washed the jacket I had to redraw him. I always drew portraits of the members at the time. I have the best ones published on my flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/e-sussi/sets/72157633239720795/ I´m working on a sleeve with portraits of my favorite artists and last september, Paul got his place on my right upper arm. I love that tattoo! Kiss will always have a special place in my heart! Best regards /Sussi

My 50th Birthday Surprise

I have been a huge KISS fan since the 70's. I attended my first KISS concert at Met Center in Minneapolis on the Dynasty tour, caught Paul's firehat in Sioux Falls on the Creature's tour, and several shows on each tour since then. I have been to concerts throughout the US, Canada, and even the first Kiss Cruise. My wife surprised me with a KISS themed birthday party to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was fun to see many of my friends wearing make up. We had the sheriff, high school principal, middle school principal, and many others participating in the fun. The best part of the night was my gift. My wife is taking me to Prague to see KISS in June. It will be a blast.

KISS Birthday Cake

Dear KISS, This year for my 14th birthday I asked for a KISS "Rock And Roll Over" cake. Being that KISS has been my favorite band ever since I was around four or five, I thought it would be appropriate. So, my mom and dad printed out a picture of possibly the best album artwork in Rock and Roll history, and had it professionally made into a cake! I just thought that I would share with you my best "birthday cake" experience Long Live KISS!!!, Nick DeCastro

KISS

Been a fan since their first concert in Toronto, I was 6. Moved to Florida. Up till high school, every chance I got to see Kiss, I had to win or had a ticket given to me. Even though I like some of the "classic groups" like stones and zeppelin, my friends would pop out the cassette tapes out of my car and throw them out the window when I wasn't looking. Lucky, they were recordings of the albums, but, I got new friends. Seen every concert since. Never got to meet the band. Last year had hopes (worked security for a concert). My boss was going to sneak me back for the unplugged when we had to evacuate klipsch music theater from the remnant of a hurricane. I am hoping you all show for the Kiss convention this year!

KISS Meet and Greet .. Duetting with Gene

Dear KISS and the KISS Army. I thought I would share my KISS Meet and Greet experience during the recent Australian Monster Tour. I had been pondering the idea of purchasing the Meet and Greet Package for some time in the lead-up to the Australian Monster Tour. It turned out the Meet and Greet Packages sold out very quickly, so once a second show in Sydney was announce, I jumped at the chance in purchasing this package. Having been a fan for over half my life, I had seen KISS live 9 times, met members of the band throughout the years, but never had the opportunity to meet them in their makeup. On the night of the second Kiss concert in Sydney, myself and the other Meet and Greet-ers were taken to a room where KISS would perform their acoustic set. While the band was performing Sure Know Something, Eric Singer pointed me out, and motioned for myself to sing part of the song. Singing on Gene's microphone, it was such a surreal experience to actually be singing with KISS performing. As the song progressed through the guitar solo, I found myself sharing the microphone with Gene Simmons..singing the 'aahh' break-down from after the guitar solo back into the chorus!! I never would have imagined to be duetting with Gene Simmons - A moment in my life which I will always remember. During the autograph session, I had each band member autograph their respective platform boot, and the KISS concert topped off an amazing night. My photo with KISS in their make-up will be proudly displayed in my lounge-room along with their autographed platform boots, and my week of KISS (seeing them twice in Melbourne and twice in Sydney) will be never forgotten. I would highly recommend the Meet and Greet Package to any fans on the remaining Monster Tour. It was such an incredible experience Thank you KISS for the amazing memories, and we hope to see you in Australia again soon! Caveman
