Wounded Warrior

Cudos for your participation in the Wounded Warrior program. Your recent visit to the Augusta, Georgia VA (Charlie Norwood VA) brought a lot of joy to the soldiers as well as the spotlight they so desperately deserve. The time you took in giving back to those who have given so much was inspiring to many others. Much Love - God Bless - and Rock On.

My wife made it to Nashville

On Mon. it didn't look like my wife would make it to her first Kiss show because of her work. But on Wed. the Kiss gods were kind and my wife was able to get off from work. She came, loved, and can't wait to do it again!

KISS visiting Wounded Warriors

I work for a local TV station in Augusta, Georgia, and have been a Kiss fan pretty much my entire life. Yesterday was an amazing day for me, as I got to meet Paul, Tommy, and Eric. It's been a dream of mine since I first bought "Lick It Up" at age 11. They stopped by the Norwood VA Center here in town and spent a good amount of time with people who are part of the Wounded Warriors Care Project of the CSRA. It was a great pleasure to get to meet members of my favorite band and chat with them for a few minutes. But, what was even more awesome was to see how they interacted with people who put their lives on the line for our freedom. You could tell, KISS were the ones who were honored to be there and spend time with those special veterans. I have been to many KISS shows, and have seen first-hand how the band salutes the military in their shows. But what I saw yesterday was a much deeper, more heartfelt salute. Taking time out of their busy touring schedule to stop in a town where they weren't scheduled to play, before jetting off to Nashville for last night's show, says a lot about the people behind the make-up, fireworks, and great music. I feel very lucky that my job allowed me a glimpse of that. The Wounded Warrior Care Project is a great project here in Augusta, and it's nice to see it get some recognition from some huge celebrities. It was wonderful to see how excited the veterans were when Paul, Tommy, and Eric came into the room yesterday. But it was even more impressive to see how excited Paul, Tommy, and Eric were to be there. It was a wonderful moment that will certainly stay with those veterans the rest of their lives, and it is something I'll never forget either. I'm glad I was lucky enough to be a "fly on the wall." I've always been a proud member of the KISS Army, but I've never been more proud than I am today. Thank you, KISS, for recognizing how important these wounded warriors are to our freedom and ability to do whatever we want. And thank you for spending some time with them. I have enclosed a photo of myself with Tommy Thayer.

THANKS FOR AN AWESOME SHOW IN NASHVILLE!

Dear KissOnline.com: Wow... Wow!! WOW!!!! I just got home from the Kiss show here in Nashville at the Sommet Center. I sat 5th row center and caught TWO picks! I've been a Kiss fan since before I could talk. The first album I ever owned was "Rock And Roll Over" and I'm proud to say that my two-year old twins already know the entire album! I've seen Kiss many, many times and I have to say that tonight's show was one of THE BEST I've ever seen. I'd almost forgotten just how awesome a Kiss show was, but all it took was the first few bars of "Deuce" to bring it all back. I'd had a rough couple days and was looking forward to the show to get away from my troubles for a few hours. When the great Paul Stanley spoke about escaping from the real world for a while it literally brought tears to my eyes. That's what a Kiss show and what their music is all about- The Great Escape. I live in Nashville because I'm an Americana singer/songwriter. I write and sing hillbilly music these days but Kiss is still my all time favorite band. I even inject Kiss references into my songs- there were three references on my last album- i.e. "Love Theme From The Coxmen." I have a gig just 5 doors down from The Sommet Center at 11AM in the morning... I tried to keep myself from singing and hollering at the top of my lungs so I could sing for my lunch tomorrow- but I couldn't hold back!!! How could anyone ever hold back at a Kiss concert? THANKS KISS for an awesome show and for an awesome album- SONIC BOOM! Sincerely, Dave Cox DaveCoxMusic.com P.S. Congrats to the couple in the 3rd row. The guy proposed during "Love Gun" ... Just another part of the Kiss Spectacle!
