Dutch Gene - 1

Hello KISS, Last sunday 25th I had a totall GENE VIP experience again, this time I was at the Fantasy fair at the biggest castle in Holland, Europe (castle 'de Haar' - near by Utrecht.) It was awesome, the whole day through - so many pictures people were taking from me, so many beautifull women - I couldn't walk for ten yards without posing with or without somebody - it was an awesome experience to feel this great pressure what the real artists are having day in day out .... respect ! And when you look like Gene like I do, you notice that Mr.Simmons is a very very populair person (DUH), everybody loves that guy, no matter what age, people know his face. Maybe you can make a nice collection of the 18 pics I'll send you. Rock on everybody ! I'll see KISS on june 1st and 18th in Oberhausen and Arnhem. Grts Hans J. Kok Zoetermeer, Holland

Pacific Coast Dream Machines 4/25

The Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show was held on 4/25 at the Half Moon Bay Airport, HMB, CA. A featured machine was the KISS Tribute Harley(KTH). Assisting was "Raider Gene', aka 'SF Gene Simmons' of the tribute band 'Heroes, A KISS Experience'. Hundreds of people lined up to sit on the KTH with the Demon looming behind them. Photos can be seen at: heroesakissexperience.com. Donations, requested but not required, were accepted for the Wounded Warrior Project. Proceeds reached $1,000. These donations will be sent to Wounded Warriors in the name of 'Heroes, A KISS Experience', the KISS Army (fans and visitors at the PCDM) and the KTH. A huge thank you to all who donated to our Wounded Warriors!

Paul, my hero!

It was a cold day, back in 1999. My memory sometimes passes me by. I remember that for a 10 year old boy everything is more intense and new. What to do when youre 10, the world is new, the ideas hardly exist and television is one of the only escapes ? Maybe you sit in front of it and watch something. And there was this kid, looking but not seeing anything. Suddenly, people in a stadium with their fists in the air, looking at a circus in front of them. A few days later, this kid was seeing that circus live, in front of him, with his dad by his side. That day will always be in the memories of this kid. He saw 4 persons playing some kind of sound that took him to a one-way ticket world. A world that he learnt to respect and that answered by the name of KISS. This kid, today has 22 years old and lives in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Already saw another Kiss show, in Buenos Aires, on April 5th 2009. And he saw KISS showing the world all kinds of music, shows, albums, fights and victories. And saw that if we had to take a path and choose someone for a guide, or a hero, this kid chose Paul Stanley to be his mentor. 11 years has passed and I still see that this Paul Stanley, in make-up or not, was born to do what hes been doing. Hes a God, a man that lives in the imaginary of all the kids who believes that one day will rule the world. That will hold in a guitar, a lyric or in a music a way to show the world that we can be who we want. This Paul Stanley show to this kid how to be true. Show how we can win without following certain rules, without being afraid of being different and silly. Whats left to say about this Paul Stanley, at the age of 58, not being ashamed to show a hairy chest, shake the butt, smile, dance, where the only important thing is to have fun and let the others have fun ? This is the pleasure of life. FUN! Paul does it in a very natural and perfect way. The King of the night time world! Paul Stanley is the man who moves millions of people since 1973, with charisma, with kindness, but also with an aggressive way. Paul Stanley is the guy who made lots of 12 year old boys learnt how to get a girl, that showed to 15 year old boys that you can wear a different jeans pant, that showed everyone that growing old with fun is growing old with wisdom. And if a stage has elevators and explosions or just a picture in the background, Paul is the owner of the place. Thank you, Paul. This kid, today with 22, still has a lot to learn with you. LIVE TO WIN, TILL YOU DIE. TILL THE LIGHT DIES IN YOUR EYES. LIVE TO WIN, TAKE IT ALL. JUST KEEP FIGHTING TILL YOU FALL!
