New Fan

Hey Gene Simmon and Famil, I wanted to let you know that I was very surprised when I sat down to watch your show and I really enjoyed it. I can say that eventhough you are a super, Super Star you have real family issues just like everybody else. I was doing some back to school shopping and I came across The Kiss Journal. I didn't even think about it, I brought it. One thing you show me is Gene Simmons is always thinking about a way to make momey. So I thought that this Journal would definitely be worth some money one day. I gonna listen to some of the Kiss music and continue to watch the family and keep up with the group. Thanks for sharing your world. Keep up the good work

How does KISS influence children?

Everyone, There has been a lot of talk over the years by so many warped individuals about how certain rock bands somehow make kids do terrible things and influence them towards violence, drugs, or even Satanism. Of course everyone here will know that KISS was not an exception back in the day. I remember my mother's church telling her that letting me listen to KISS will be detrimental to our souls. Yet, my parents bought me my first KISS record at 4 years old and bonded with me by being involved in what I was listening to. These days, we all know that kids are exposed to a multitude of terrible things and are growing up in a way different world than 30 years ago. It is very important these days for kids to find positive activities. Many are influenced by real violence and many do not have positive role models on which to base their activities. I have found a couple of kids on the net who are excellent aspiring rock journalists and are keeping themselves busy working hard to create a show dedicated to their favorite band, KISS! A 15 year old and an 11 year old are currently conducting podcasts that include interviews with past and present band members along with their own "Flaming Youth" perspective of past and present KISS activities. I have listened to their podcasts and I can tell you that these kids are not just fooling around. They are serious about bringing this to the masses. Their shows are very well done for not only kids their age, but there are more experienced people doing shows that are not even close to being as organized and professional-sounding as these two! I want you to know that I have no affiliation with them other than I am a fan who just stumbled onto them and found myself amazed at their tenacity. I felt they should be recognized, so I am writing this so that I can help spread the word that they are out there. Show them some love, people! They are today's Flaming Youth and they deserve to be recognized! Here's where you can find them: www.creaturesofthenet.webs.com Sincerely, Nate
