Paul Stanley to host private event for veterans at new Rock & Brews Vacaville, CA
Rock & Brews co-founder and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Paul Stanley of KISS will host a private veteran luncheon with local operator Jon Mesko at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with local government officials and a luncheon hosted by Stanley for more than 100 veterans, active military and first responders, in partnership with the local veterans’ charity, Operation Care and Comfort.
A private invitation-only VIP event hosted by Stanley will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
“We are excited to become a member of the community of Vacaville and look forward to contributing to the vibrant restaurant scene with our unique dining and entertainment experience,” Stanley said in a press statement. “With all openings, we look forward to paying respect to local veterans, active military and first responders who dedicate their lives to protecting their community and our country.”
Operation Care and Comfort provides support and comfort to dozens of adopted units of deployed U.S. military service members serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and other conflict regions.
Working within their community and through donations received from all over the U.S., they assemble and mail care packages to these adopted units until they return home.
They ship care packages on a monthly basis and hold large public care package events at least quarterly, with small packing events in between.
More than a million pounds of care packages have been packed and mailed.
Rock & Brews opened to the public Monday at 200 Nut Tree Parkway, at the Vacaville Commons Shopping Center.
This opening marks the sixth Rock & Brews location for local partner Jon Mesko, who also owns California-based Rock & Brews locations in Redondo Beach, Buena Park, Rancho Cucamonga, Corona and Downey.
This is the restaurant brand’s first Northern California location.
Rock & Brews was founded by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band KISS, along with restaurateur and hotelier Michael Zislis and concert industry veterans Dave and Dell Furano.
With more than 20 locations, Rock & Brews is a rock-inspired restaurant and entertainment concept that serves casual dining and craft beer.
The first Rock & Brews opened near Los Angeles International Airport in Southern California in April 2012.
Each location boasts a “Great Wall of Rock,” iconic rock art, concert videos and lighting and multiple flat screens sharing some of the greatest rock concert moments of all time.
Most offer a play area for kids and many are dog friendly.
