KISS Reno Veteran Roadie for a Day
Amazing! Truly amazing, is how I would describe my experience as the Veteran Roadie for KISS on April 21st in Reno, NV! The entire KISS production crew, management and all the band members themselves went out of their way to ensure that my guest and I were not disappointed. Everyone was friendly, professional and asked if there was anything at all that they could do to make my experience even better. I've been a KISS fan since 1975 and never dreamed that I'd have such an opportunity. Even after waiting 40 plus years, dreams can come true and this was a life changing dream come true! I'm flattered and honored to have been selected and dedicate my night back stage with KISS to all of my Marine Corps Brothers and Sisters!
Sincerely,
Russ Doty

About Russ Doty: Major (retired) USMC
Life-long KISS fan! When I heard "KISS Alive" in 1975 while still in high school, I became instantly hooked. Armed with KISS's never surrender attitude, I completed college in 1982 and became a U.S. Marine Corps Officer and a Attack Helicopter Pilot flying both the AH-1J Sea Cobra and the AH-1W Super Cobra. I flew 56 Combat Missions during Operation Desert Storm and Retired in 2002 after 20 Active Duty years. After retirement from the Marines, I formed the successful KISS Tribute Band: LOVE GUN which is based out of New Orleans and regionally touring (www.lovegunneworleans.com / www.facebook.com/lovegunneworleans). I am currently, a Captain with a private company flying business jets. I married my college sweet heart 33 years ago and we have one daughter. To be recognized by my hero, Paul Stanley, would truly be a dream come true!
