Hi guys! This is Martin Comoglio from Argentina. I�m the conceptualizer, digital artist and designer of the magazine called �Estudiantes � Dinast�a Heroica� (�Estudiantes � Heroic Dynasty�), the official magazine of the current football-soccer champion of my country, Argentina. I�m sending you the cover and some internal pages of the current magazine, where Gast�n �La Gata� Fern�ndez, Estudiantes� goal-scorer, was painted by me with real KISS spirit! The cover�s title is �With �La Gata�, more than a �classic�, is rock �n� roll�. In Argentina, when in a football-soccer match somebody talks about a �classic� ("cl�sico" in spanish), is also talking about a �derby�. It means, the clash between two teams of the same city, in this case, Estudiantes vs. Gimnasia, both from La Plata city. The idea is the following one, and it�s explained at the end of the report, together with the pictures taken at the backstage: KISS, one of the most influential, outrageous and successful rock bands in history, has gone through the limits of the strictly musical. Its two leaders, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, embody the �Starchild� and the �Demon� respectively. So, for this production of the magazine �Estudiantes � Heroic Dynasty�, I looked for two analogies: the first one, opposed to the �cl�ssic� word, blurred when used because of the persistent supremacy of Estudiantes over its eternal rival Gimnasia (Estudiantes� fans use to say �it�s not a cl�ssic ('derby') anymore� or �cl�ssic wanted�. The �rock �n� roll� as urban synonym for party, dynamism, rebelliousness and vitality, it was a good concept to contrast with �classic�. Apart from meaning the same as 'derby', 'classic' ("cl�sico") is also used for "classic music". Here is the double sense of the title idea. Every championship won, is symbolized in shields and banners with a star. Then, the second analogy was connected with the KISS band, that even in the same scene of rock, it has a visual mark opposite to the �classic rock aspect�. And Paul Stanley, with his makeup and his personification, represents a vital element in the building of the identity of Estudiantes: �the star�. Estudiantes is and has been champion in several times, and Gast�n �La Gata� Fern�ndez, was a pillar in winning the most recent championships, and furthermore he was the undisputed star in the last �derby� between Estudiantes and Gimnasia. I've been a KISS fan for over a decade now, and I had my dream come true when I attended my first and only KISS show back in 2009 in Buenos Aires. Let me tell you that I'm a 27-year-old medical doctor, attending the second year of a four year long residency in Psyquiatry, at a local mental hospital in Rosario, Argentina. I would love to meet you guys someday, and let me assure you that I have the means to travel to the States to do so, if you see it fit.
