A Family Tradition
Unfortunately, I spent most of my life in a KISSless world although it was one of my Dad's favorite bands like any other kid growing up in the 70's. He passed away when I was seven years old in 1990, so I didn't get much of a chance to rock out to the classics with him. So, I never gave KISS much of a chance. Now, I have made a family of my own living Vietnam and I was finding a way to reconnect my dad to my daughter especially and your music has actually become a bonding experience for my whole family. My daughter (20 months) and my two Vietnamese step-sons (8 and 11) are crazy for KISS. They constantly ask to listen and watch you guys, especially Scooby Doo meets Kiss. My daughter Vada loves to bang on her drums and sing with her brother Bob "I Was Made for Loving you." Finally, my mom is from Mexico and my dad had taken her to watch KISS for the Creatures tour in San Antonio, Texas. Sometimes, when we would catch a song, she would always mention that she saw you guys for the final make-up tour for the era and remember going with him. When you guys announced the End of the Road Tour, I couldn't think of a better gift to her from my sister and me, then to take her with her granddaughter. I know she is going to lose it when she finds out I will be surprising her with her granddaughter. It's been over a year since I last saw her. Thank you guys for creating an amazing bond for my family. - Jaime Colon
