Saturday Morning, May 11th, will be a day that I will never forget. It was the day that I met my hero, my influence, my mentor....the god of thunder himself, Gene Simmons. I was incredibly nervous to meet the man that has helped me survive my crazy life and who has forever changed the face of Rock 'N' Roll. I will never forget how nice Gene treated me and how pleasant he was to all of the KISS fans that showed up that day. I've often heard people say "I wonder what is it like to meet God?" This for me was close enough. This was my religious experience....a KISS-tianity experience. Gene's Q&A was one of the funniest and most heartfelt things I have ever sat through. I hope to one day speak with Gene again....so we can joke and laugh about this nervous guy who dressed like a rock star...which got Gene's seal of approval... finally getting to meet his hero.
