Letters

KISS has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old. My first album was Rock and Roll Over and I can still clearly remember the day I put the album on the turntable and heard "Dr. Love" for the first time. Two years ago I introduced my girlfriend's son Derek to KISS during the Hottest Show on Earth tour and he has been hooked ever since. Derek's first album was Sonic Boom and I believe he knows most of the words to "Modern Day Delilah". When it came time for his birthday, Derek wanted a Rock and Roll birthday party, complete with guitars, back stage passes...and Gene Simmons! Who was I to deny a just turned 8 year old the opportunity to have Gene Simmons at his party so donning the Alive costume and make-up, Gene Simmons (in spirit) was there! The kids had a blast, and I have to say I did too! Posing for pictures with the kids (and the parents), handing out KISS trading cards and playing the same great KISS music I remembered as an 8 year old, made the day extra special for everyone. Lauren, Derek and I are looking forward to "The Tour" this summer and will be at the tour's opening show in Bristow, Va. KISS is timeless and truly knows no bounds!
