Letters

My name is Carrie. I'm writing this letter to tell you about a special guy who is more than likely your biggest fan. His name is Nathan Miller and he is my brother. He's not like any other brother though, because he is extra special. Nathan was born with mental retardation on July 28, 1976. Although he may be slow at some things that are easy for others, he has an extraordinary love for music. He knows things about music that not even my dad, a music lover himself and leader singer of a band would know. Our dad introduced us to music and although he is no longer with us, he passed that love onto my brother. And of all the bands in this world, his all time favorite band is KISS. His biggest dream is to see Kiss in concert and the closest we've come is to see Kiss Army last year in Springfield, Illinois at the Illinois State Fair. I've sent a picture of my brother Nathan with someone who dressed up for the concert to win backstage passes. A week before his birthday this year, Kiss will be coming to Springfield at the Prairie Capitol Convention Center. Unfortunately, we will not have the opportunity to take Nathan to the concert. We've held out hope that someone could take him, but it doesn't seem to be an option within our budget. However, it would make his day to get a letter or picture from his real heroes. Nathan could tell you everything possible about Kiss and his favorite impression is that of Gene Simmons. Every year for Halloween, he wants to dress up as Gene and faithfully has watched his show. Anything you could do to make his day would be appreciated more than we could ever express to you. Thank you so much for your time!
