Letters

KISS has been an important part of my life since I discovered them at age 14 (1977). As I got older, married, had children - KISS was still there and I continued to see them whenever I could attend a concert. In 2009, after saving up for months, I was able to purchase a backstage pass and make a dream come true: meeting the band. Little did I know that this high point would be followed by my life's lowest point when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 months later. During the past year, I have been battling this disease with surgery, chemo, and radiation. It has been a grueling experience but I still managed to attend a KISS concert in Atlanta this past August. I recently completed treatment and just this week I got a clean PET scan result! I could think of no better way to celebrate than to get my first tattoo...and of course, it had to be KISS!
