Showing My KISS Pride!

Posted on 11/21/2010
Hey, first of all, let me start off the klassic way by saying I LOVE KISS! I just turned thirteen when my mom got me really into them by playing our Double Platinum CD every morning on our way to school. After showing me a few of the amazing moments KISS had on stage, I was sure, I wanted to go to a KISS concert. About a year ago, after some convincing, and a Sonic Boom CD, (not THAT much convincing) we bought our tickets to a concert in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was the best experience of my life, and it was both my mom and I's first concert. I then managed to convince my mom to take me to their concert a few months back, in Charlotte. We took my uncle, who had gone to concerts when he was a teenager. We even found pictures of him and his friends in KISS makeup! Well, it was better than ever, I absolutely loved the solos (I'm a huge Eric Singer fan). Unfortunately, I went to a Paramore concert the weekend after . . . I yawned, multiple times. I'm absolutely sure that I cannot witness anything BUT a KISS concert, but that's fine by me! I wear my KISS shirt to school each time I get the chance. I've made a miniature sign with the KISS logo and a fraction of my favorite KISS songs and as you can see, I have my favorite pictures in my binder. All of my classmates know I'm a fan, each time someone hears KISS, they look at me. I constantly defend you guys to the "rap" or "R&B" fans. I know what true Rock 'n' Roll music is, and that's you guys! But hey! I'm proud, and I'm happy I'm not a closet fan, because what's the fun of that? KISS has inspired me, to get going with my band (I'm the drummer). I'm also ecstatic that my uncle handed down all of his records to me, and I am a proud owner of almost all of the KISS vinyls, and I play them once in a while, to get that raw KISS sound, that CD's or videos can mess up, in my opinion. All I can say is, my dream is to be at least half as good as KISS, and possibly open for them one day. Thank you KISS, for my love of true rock, and my love for genuine shows! (Not a concert where they pull a couch out and do acoustics. The horror.)
