Re: Child Dying of Cancer

In response to the letter for Hunter Scott, the child dying of cancer, I sent an email to my entire school, and some of the responses were fantastic. Our school is the lowest SES school in our district. Once the students heard about Hunter, they went to work on making several really cool birthday cards. This is a good lesson for our students; to really give back to someone in need. I have been teaching the students about empathy and understanding other people's perspectives. This cause really allowed the students to show how they can apply the skill in every day life. Hunter, I hope you have a fantastic birthday! We wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy many more!
