Thank you from a Retired Veteran

Posted on 09/30/2010
To KISS: I was in the audience for the concert at the Indiana State Fair on 9 August 2010. Of the 15 KISS concerts I have attended, for the first time I had a seat in row 12 and the view of the band was spectacular. That view was intensified when I witnessed Paul holding up the flag of the United States of America and thanking the Soldiers for their sacrifices. As a retiree from the Army after 23 years of active duty, I was in total awe of the band to take time out from their performance to recognize the Soldiers and their contributions/sacrifices to keep our nation safe. I would like to extend my personal thank you to the band for their generous donation of over $500,000 to the CSRA Wounded Warriors Care Project because the wounded Soldiers deserve to receive treatment of their wounds and to be treated with honor. I was honored to recite the Pledge of Allegiance with the band and I commend the band members for their untiring devotion not only to their fans, but to the military. Paul, Gene, Eric, and Tommy please accept my thank you not only for your music and your fantastic performances throughout the years, but most importantly for recognizing the members of the military that protect the citizens of the United States of America. Respectfully, Robert SFC (Retired)
