(I sent this letter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) To Whom It May Concern: I reviewed the list of artists nominated for 2011 induction, and I am shocked that some are being considered while KISS is conspicuously absent. Take for example, LL Cool J and The Beastie Boys. While both are talented artists, NEITHER are Rock and Roll artists at all. The same can be said for Donna Summer. In fact, in many ways Disco was the anti-Rock. If these are your "Rock and Roll" nominees, then Beethoven and Luciano Pavarotti are long past due to be inducted. The remaining nominees have solid, or at least reasonable Rock credibility, but Kiss can stand shoulder to shoulder with any of them. Through their long career, they've demonstrated skill, originality, a rebelliousness that is the soul of Rock and Roll, and an enduring connection with their audience. One does not have to be a die-hard member of the Kiss Army to recognize Kiss as a major force in Rock music. I recommend that you either reconsider your nominees, or add some quotes around your title, "Rock & Roll" Hall of Fame.
