KISS Show Arnhem

Posted on 06/19/2010
Hello Gene, Paul, Eric and Tommy, I'm a huge KISS fan since 1979, when Dynasty came out and the single "I was made" brought you guys worldfame, outside the US. Needless to say that in fact, Dynasty is not one of the greatest KISS releases that ever came out. For me, KISS, Rock And Roll Over and of course Alive and Destroyer are the creme de la creme, as Gene said once about Destroyer. I was very sceptic, when Peter and Ace left again and Eric and Tommy joined the band. Yes, I was one of those nostalgic KISS fans, who thought that there should be only one line-up, the original one. After hearing "Sonic Boom", I was surprised. This was a KISS album that fans like me were waiting for after all the compilation albums and the uninspired Psycho Circus album. I decided to give it a chance, and bought tickets for the Arnhem show. Well guys, Fantastic. Great fireworks, Great musicians. You guys sound like a breath of fresh air and much heavier than before. Eric is a great drummer and without any offence to Peter Criss, much more powerfull and blessed with a great voice. Tommy plays the lead guitar as good as Ace did. It was a relief to notice that he played his own style. Tommy, stick to that and don't copy Ace anymore musically please. Paul, you played with pleasure and enthousiasm. People can see you enjoy playing, like it's 1975 again. The energy. Respect man. Gene, for you the same as I wrote for Paul, RESPECT. Thanx to the four of you for a great evening in KISStory. Keep up the good work for many many years to come. P.S. It would be cool to bring out some new work every now and then in the future. From my point of view, the inspiration is there. Like in the old days, album, tour, album, tour and so on. Ha, Ha..just kidding. Greetzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, and keep KISSing', Paul.
