Best KISS concert of my entire life!!!

Posted on 09/30/2009
ULTIMATE KISS EXPERIENCE IN CLEVELAND I remember my very first KISS concert in the late 70s. It was the Dynasty tour, I was in grade school, my mom brought me to see the show. That one single event changed my life. Since then, I have been to countless concerts with various lineups, but what I witnessed in Cleveland this past weekend was nothing short of amazing. My evening began with a backstage meet and greet with KISS. I had done the meeting and greet before, on the World Domination tour, but this one was much better. You can tell that they have really worked out the kinks. Dean Snowden, the guy in charge of the meet and greet, did an awesome job making things run smoothly. The band was friendly, upbeat and happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures. This is one band that appreciates its fans. If you are a true KISS fan, you have to experience this. Theres nothing like standing face to face with your idols just before they rock the place. It was very cool to hear the songs from Alive! Onstage. Hands down, this was the best sounding concert I ever attended. The pyro was unreal, better than ever before. I am a huge fan of the originals, but Eric and Tommy have brought some missing magic to the table. Both are great guys and know how to treat their fans. I also loved the extra long encore. The guys came back and played and played. Making sure we had some other classics from the other albums. Modern Day Delilah from Sonic Boom was my favorite moment. It rocks live! I cant wait for the whole CD to hit stores in less than a week. I loved the new stage. I like the KISS letters being directly behind them on the stage with Eric on top. Erics rotating drum riser was also a nice touch. The big screen, stretching all the way across the stage, was awesome. They had some very cool graphics on the smaller screens throughout the show. The intro was kick a$$! A great way to open this show. I had purchased one of the Gene exclusive tour axe guitars, which meant I also got an exclusive meet and greet with Gene. I really wanted my photo with Gene in makeup and costume. You have no idea how it felt having your hero come around the corner, shake your hand, sign the axe bass in front of you and present it to you. KISS thank you for the best concert experience of my life! -Bill France Logan, WV (note to the webmaster... I have some great pics of me with KISS and a great pic of me and Gene with the Axe bass...but it keeps wanting me to shrink the photos...can I email you these?) Thanks, Bill France
