Letters

I remember when I was six years old, holding my big brothers ALIVE! record in my hands; looking through the booklet, reading the letters, and looking at the back of the album cover while reliving the concert experience. Even at a young age I was quick to understand, this was magic in its purest form. I remember staring at this jumbo KISS poster which chronicled live pictures of each 4 members with a massive band shot in the middle engulfed in smoke; watching Paul Lynde, and various commercials for new albums. This was very impressionable to a kid already fixated with super hero's and monster movies. Growing up, the words KISS and COBO together meant something holy; for this was the temple in which KISS preached from the rock pulpit and make it's timeless connection with the outside world. Now, 35 years later, On Sept 25th, I will make the pilgrimage to Mecca. The place where KISS became immortal, the place on a back of an album and I once held in awe. It seems surreal. Take us back as only KISS can. Take me back to the back of KISS alive and to the booklet that came inside. Let me see magic in it's purest form one more time. Tom Mishka
