Adam Nunez

Gene, Yesterday I attended a funeral for a friend I have known since 1996. He was from the same area of New York as some of you guys. He also was the biggest KISS fan ever. I met Adam Nunez when we ended up working in the same place in Lawrenceville,GA. He was my supervisor and unknown to us we had both attended the same show on the Reunion tour in 96 in Atlanta. We had even sat in the same section. He was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago. I just wanted you to know that one of the biggest and brightest spots of his last three years was meeting you and shaking your hand at the Mall of GA in Buford. We were drawn together into friendship by our love of KISS. Once we discovered this we had endless conversations about the band we both loved with a passion. We became much more than supervisor/employee. We became true friends. I even managed to overlook his New York Giants fetish(I'm a Cowboys fan:). When I spoke at his funeral yesterday, I could not help but bring up the KISS connection. To some people it may seem silly but to Adam and I it was a brotherhood. A brotherhood of true believers. We were the guys who never stopped being KISS fanatics. Yes, we both own a copy of Music From The Elder :) In 2000, Adam and I attended the Farewell Tour together in Atlanta. I look back on that moment as something truly special. It was something we would never forget. Thank you Gene. Were it not for You, Paul,Ace and Peter, I would have never come to know Adam Nunez the way I did. It was because of KISS this bond was formed. Michael Coker
