REMEMBERING OUR FRIEND ERIC CARR
Twenty five years ago today, our friend Eric Carr passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Over the eleven years Eric spent with KISS, he played over 800 concerts to millions of fans around the world, and he brought joy to and touched the lives of so many people. Here are some thoughts and memories that the band would like to share.
Paul Stanley:
Unbelievable to think Eric Carr passed away 25 years ago. He was a lovely person and a ferocious drummer. At a time when we were standing on very shaky ground, this little guy did his best to steady our legs. He deserved better than the unjust end to his life that he suffered. I thank him for all he gave us and the fans
Gene Simmons:
Eric may have passed, but his presence will always be here.
Sadly, he didn't get the chance to hear his thundering drums on I LOVE IT LOUD being played yesterday in a stadium full of sports fans.
Eric had a heart of gold. I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone.
I miss him a lot.
Tommy Thayer:
Eric was a sincere and kind hearted guy. Always loved seeing him & being in his presence. I think about him a lot.
